The inspiration behind "Fem"comes from my daily drawings and memories.
It reflects the passage of time, marked by the act of counting and the influence of geometrical shapes.
The color palette is a harmonious blend of greens, earthy tones, soft purples, blues, and a significant white area. These colors create a sense of balance, with the white space acting as a canvas of possibility.
The layers of paint, the sanding down, and painting again, along with carving and markmaking, creates a highly textured piece of art work. The process mirrors the layering of memories and moments in one's life, where events accumulate and leave their mark.
"Fem" encourages us to reflect on our own journey, memories, and the balance between order and chaos in our lives.
